Our Bed & Breakfast in Solingen is located in the Wald neighborhood, in the former residence of the owner of a traditional Solingen cutlery company, Sedanstr. 4, 42719 Solingen.

We are about 30 min by car from either Köln/Bonn airport or Düsseldorf airport. Many cities of the Rhein/Ruhr area can be reached by car within 45 min or by train.

The B&B has 1 room. It faces the large garden and is reached through an independent door. The room is connected to a large bathroom with bathtub and a separate shower/toilet room. The room has a desk, chairs, and internet TV. Room size is 12 square meter, and the bathroom is the same size.

An additional separate bed is availabe, so that the room can also be booked for 2 people. Both beds are in the same room, see photograph above.

Free connection to the internet via WiFi.

A hair dryer, an electric kettle, a coffee pad machine, a refrigerator, and dishes are available in the room.

A spacious, covered, illuminated terrace is at your disposal: here you can relax or work - as it suits you. It seats many people.

We do not offer breakfast, for the time being.

Parking is no problem, either directly at the house or on the street there is ample space any time of the day.

A bus stop (Albert-Schweitzer-Schule, bus number 682) is 200 m away. One can reach Solingen Hbf train station in 10 min or center of town in 15 min.

Using bus and subsequently the S-Bahn (local train) it takes

34 - 41 min to reach the train station Köln Deutz Messe/LANXESS arena,
20 min to reach Hilden S-train station,
34 min to reach Düsseldorf Hbf,
46 min to reach Düsseldorf Airport Train station,
55 min to reach Düsseldorf Messe Ost/Stockumer Strasse (ca. 1:05 h for the other trade fair stops)

By car, Düsseldorf Süd (south) is reachable in 25 min, and so is Wuppertal.

Prices:

45 € per night (for 1 person, for a stay of between 2 and 10 nights)
55 € for a stay of only 1 night (for 1 person)
65 € per night (for 2 persons in the same room, in two single beds, for a stay of between 2 and 10 nights)
75 € for a stay of only 1 night (for 2 persons)

Rates are higher during times of large exhibits in Düsseldorf or Cologne and on special holidays. Please call me.

Check-in time is after 5 p.m. unless agreed otherwise.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
